Singapore part 3

On my last day in Singapore, me and my bf spend our little time in the hotel. We was go to the pool on 57th floor, and the view was so amazing! The funny one was no one swim in the pool, most of them get in the pool to take a picture, they wearing sun glasses.

Me and my bf take a walk in Marina Bay Sands Shopping Mall, there was canoes in the artificial river . There was also a artificial waterfall in the centre lobby. At that time, in Marina Bay Sands Museum there was a Titanic exhibition but I'm not getting in to the museum because I have no time for it :(

We decided to having lunch first before we go to Changi Airport, then we choose Kraze Burgers in Marina Bay Sands Shopping Mall ( across Rasapura FoodCourt ). Kraze Burgers was so crowded, I had to wait at a moment  to got a table for two person. The menu was very tempting, there was a lot of choices of burger. I picked semi nude burger, my bf picked maximum hot and potato wedges. The potato was so yummy, there was mayonnaise and chili sauce on top of the potatoes. I love semi nude burger, because there was a soft-fried egg. Maximum hot burger was not hot enough for me, I can't tasted any chilly inside. Overall Kraze Burgers is recommended! :) We spend about S$ 50.00 for two burgers, a potato wedges, and two mineral waters.

Singapore part 2

Day 2 ( 28 April 2012 )
After having breakfast, me and my bf went to Bugis. We take the MRT to Bugis station then we go to Bugis Junction. In the food court, I bought Old Chang Kee's curry puff for S$ 2.00. I feel the curry puff tasted is different in Jakarta, it tasted more spices and more delicious like a real Indian curry. Then I stopped in Yoshinoya, I ordered Beef combo for about S$ 6.00. The tasted was same like in another Yoshinoya's store, but I still like it :p My bf bought KFC, I really want that menu KFC Zinger Double Down. It's like a burger but without bread, it staked with crunchy chicken breast. Tasted was so delicious! Price is about S$ 8.00, you will get a combo ( burger - mashed potato - soft drink ). After that we go to Bugis Street, it's a semi indoor market. You can find anything like shirt, watches, shoes, bag, food and everything with a cheap price. Love shopping here :)

Next destination was China Town, we take the MRT to China Town station then go to China Town market. There I found a Germany snack stand, I choose pork sausage with cheese. I can saw the cheese melt inside the sausage when  the shopman cut it, so yummy! The price is about S$ 3.00/sausage. Then I saw Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Museum, it was so beautiful, full of colorful lampions. Behind the temple, there's a park fueled with chinese old man played chinese chess. I also go to Oakham Market in between Ann Siang Hill, actually  it is not a market, it's just like a mini store in the basement. My friend http://thedreamredemption.blogspot.com/ ( Bernadetha Natasha ) suggest us to go to Oakham Market, she said it's a vintage store. When I get into the store, it was so crowded and full of many skirts, shirts, dress, shoes, and much vintage things. I like the decorations, there was a playing machine contains cloths. You just have to pay S$ 5.00 so if you lucky, you will get what you choose inside the play box. I didn't get any picture of Oakham Market because so crowded, sorry Bertha :(

Seroeni has a lot of dishes, from appetizers, main dish, dessert, and various drinks. Seruni also has some picture of their dishes on the menu list, as a sign that those foods are recommended. At that time me, my bf and my bf's cousin was very hungry, so I decided directly to order the main menu. We ordered a recommended chicken dish (honey chicken vinegar), a beef dish (hot plate sizzling), and two vegetable dishes (tofu with mushrooms and pocai kind with three kind eggs).

get your tummy scream (Java-Bali edition)

SEMARANG

'lumpia' is the famous food in this city. Lumpia Semarang have a different taste and smell with other lumpia. There's two type of lumpia, lumpia basah and lumpia goreng. One of the famous lumpia is 'Loenpia Mbak Lien' at Jl. Grajen - Semarang.

this is the place :)
lumpia goreng (left) - lumpia basah (right)

In Indonesia we had 'tek-tek', tek-tek is a fried rice/noodle/rice noodle that cooked in a simple cart and has a unique sound like "tek..tek..tek..tek..". but it a bit different with tek-tek in Semarang, they cooked with fire from the charcoal not with gas like others. Also there was 'mie nyemek' (fried noodle with a little bit more soy sauce). I found one of delicious tek-tek in Semarang at Jl. Gajah Mada, near from Gumaya Tower Hotel Semarang.

very traditional, using charcoal

YOGYAKARTA

'nasi angkringan' or we called 'nasi kucing' is one of the famous food from Yogyakarta, you can find this in many street such as maliboro and near Keraton. Every night nasi kucing always full of Yogyakarta's teenager. This food is very unique because portion of the rice was very small and we can take our side dish as we want, they serve any kind of satay, tofu and tempe, fried chicken, salty egg, martabak, mini sausage, and many more. This food was so cheap! Don't think this food is in a restaurant, this nasi kucing is in road side and no chair and table, you must sit on the floor with mat.

the crowded one in Jl. Malioboro
this is what we called 'nasi kucing' or 'angkringan'

Not only that, you must try 'nasi gudeg' from Yogyakarta. I found one of the best nasi gudeg near from Keraton Yogyakarta. Nasi gudeng is a rice that you can mixed with 'kerecek' (cow's skin cracker with coconut milk and has a little bit spicy mixed with tempe), 'telur semur' (boiled egg that marinated with soy sauce), 'sayur nangka' (jackfruit marinated with soy sauce), fried tofu, fried tempe, and fried chicken.

Out of my expectation, i found a very delicious burger named Mister Burger beside Bu Widodo's Gudeg Restaurant. Seems not really convince, but when i try one bite.... Oh My God, this burger was so yummy! Full with mayonnaise and cheese sauce. Compared with Klenger Burger or Blenger Burger or other burger outlet in Jakarta, i prefer this burger much. Only Rp 11.000, you can get this big yummy burger :)

try this burger!

SURABAYA

I'm searching for spicy food, so i choose to ate 'ayam penyet' (fried chicken smashed with very hot chilly) in Warung Bu Kris at Taman Ruko Kayoon 46C - Surabaya. This restaurant is one of the best and crowded place, everyone go to this restaurant to tasted their food. Not only ayam penyet, in this restaurant also offer any menu such as 'rawon' (black soup from Surabaya, consist of 'kluwak', bean sprouts and beef), 'empal' (beef), fried fish, 'pecel' (mixed vegetables), and many more.

BALI

If you eat "non-halal" food which is contain of pork, you must try Mama's German Restaurant at Jalan Raya Legian - Kuta Bali.  In this restaurant, they offer many delicious menu such as spaghetti, pizza, french fries, roasted pork, vienna schnitzel beef, and much more. There was also a bar if you want to drink beer.

roasted pork (left) - mozzarella pizza (right)

There are many "non-halal" food in Bali, one of the famous one is 'babi guling' (rolled pork). I used to eat babi guling in Warung Makan Babi Guling Dodo at Wantilan Br. Tampak Gangsul - Denpasar Bali. Only with Rp 25.000, you can eat this yummy food full with side dish such as rice, pork meat, 'lawir', grilled pork skin, pork's skin cracker, chilly, and a soup.

Now we moved to the "halal" food. In Bali, everybody know Nasi Pedas Bu Andhika at Jl. Raya Kuta 120C - Kuta Bali Selatan. This restaurant is always full of queue especially during holidays. This restaurant is same as 'warteg' but with different menu, the special one of this restaurant is the very hot chilly. We can choose our side dish such as 'ayam suwir' (cut of chicken's meat), tempe, egg, fried chicken, long bean, satay, chilly and many more.
